Mandatory first steps

Connect your router, hub or modem to NAO with an Ethernet cable. The plug is situated at the back of NAO's head.

Warning:

Make sure NAO is not connected with an Ethernet cable while executing movements which could pull the wire and damage the port.

Then, there are 2 methods for connecting NAO to your wireless network:

  • the Bonjour method - the simplest method as it automatically detects the available devices of your network. You will just have to select your NAO in the list.
  • the IP address method - a bit more complicated as you will have to know the IP address of your NAO to enter its configuration page.

Choose the method you want to use then read on for a step by step procedure.

Note:

You can use WPA networks as well as WEP networks.
Warning:

After having realized the configuration, you will have to restart Choregraphe if your connection mode changes - ie if you unplug your Ethernet cable to work with a Wi-Fi connection for instance.
