Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play an ever larger role in supporting our society and human well-being in the future. To realise its full potential, the Faculty of Arts is looking for a professor of Artificial Intelligence & Language, Speech and Communication at the Centre for Language Studies (CLS).
As a full professor you will further the mission of CLS, boosting AI research at CLS such that research on language, speech and communication will inform the field of Artificial Intelligence, and vice versa. You will perform forward-looking research, including topics such as spoken-audio mining, computational modelling of speech and dialogue, or new approaches to digital humanities, and NLP for business, government and health. You will achieve this goal by leveraging a proven track record of AI research that is based on scientific knowledge of language, speech and communication.
