About the Award
BNVKI recognizes excellence in AI research by rewarding the most original and impactful PhD dissertation. The winner will receive:
- €1000 for personal use
- A certificate signed by the BNVKI board
- Nomination for the prestigious EurAI Dissertation Award
A runner-up will also be honored with a certificate.
Eligibility
You must have defended your PhD between December 1st, 2024, and December 31st, 2025 at a Belgian, Dutch, or Luxembourgish university.
How to Apply
Submit a single PDF file containing:
- A cover page with your name, affiliation, contact details, dissertation title, defense date, and jury members
- A 2-page abstract of your work
- A 1-page CV with your top 5 achievements
- A signed support letter from your PhD promoter(s)
- A link to your full dissertation
