FF6s types

Various versions of the FF6

On the futaba site of www.hobbies.net I saw two versions of the FF6 super: a 6XHS for helis and a 6XAS for airplanes (see picture below)

The heli version of the FF6s The airplane version of the FF6s The European version
Figure: Three FF6S versions: two special for airplane and helicopter, and a hybrid version for the European market. Note the varying type labels on the transmitters. Also the trainer button (small black round button) has a different location, and the power switches differ

The guy selling me the transmitter thought that these different versions are available in other countries, but in the Netherlands they only sell the Xs. According to the manual, the XAs and XHs can handle 29,35,36,40,41,50,60 and 72MHz. The Xs can handle only 35, 40 and 41MHz. But the Xs can select either helicopter or airplane mode, and it seems that all functionality of both xhs and xas are integrated into the xs. Also, the Xs can change the throttle from left to right with a special setup command. The ribbles of the throttle stick are on the left, which is OK for heli, but you dont want ribbles for heli anyway.
