Slovenian Conference on Artificial Intelligence and its predecessor Intelligent Systems are traditional conferences at the Information Society multiconference. Information technology is transforming the global and the Slovenian society, and artificial intelligence is becoming the key driver of this transformation. It is clear that artificial intelligence has the potential do dramatically change the economic landscape, tackle many societal challenges, and bring about a brighter future. However, as any powerful technology it has its downsides and dangers, so it has to be developed and applied judiciously. The conference addresses artificial intelligence, intelligent systems and their applications in the information society. It seeks to present state-of-the-art methods and applications to real-life problems. It also wishes to be a forum for discussion of the role of artificial intelligence in the society, what the future is likely to bring, and how to steer technological development and policy so that we enjoy the most benefits and the least downsides of artificial intelligence intelligence.
The conference will focus on the following topics:
- Artificial intelligence
- Intelligent systems
- Machine learning
- Data mining
- Language models and technologies
- Intelligent agents
- Decision support systems
- Computational intelligence
- Ambient intelligence
- The impact of artificial intelligence on the society
- Policy related to artificial intelligence
- Ethical and legal perspectives
- Intelligent systems in:
- Health
- Industry

- and other areas
Instruction for authors
We call for papers on the topics of the conference, which should be accessible to a relatively wide audience. We welcome contributions from the academia and industry. The papers should not exceed four pages, and should preferably be written in English, although Slovene papers are also accepted. Template files are available on the conference submission page. The papers should be submitted here. They will be reviewed by the Programme Committee. The accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and presented at the conference. An award will be given to the best paper selected by the Programme Committee. Extended versions of selected papers will be invited to the Informatica journal.
Conference programme and participation
To enable everyone interested to attend, the conference will be hybrid, taking place live and remotely, for presenters and participants. The presentations will be organised in sessions depending on the papers’ topic and language. By default, the presentations shall be given in English. The time allocated for each presentation will be 15–20 minutes (including discussion). In addition to the regular conference sessions, we also plan to have a keynote talk by a prominent researcher, which will be announced later.
